Learning a new digital tool can be challenging — there are many moving parts and a lot of the time, you just want to skip to the end where you have a firm understanding of the key aspects that will apply to your unique use case.
Not only is Tana a new tool, but it is rapidly evolving and I know that it can feel overwhelming to stay on top of new developments while you’re also juggling the development of your own workflow.
Why mentoring?
Mentoring is a personalized, hands-on method for rapid skill acquisition. In these sessions, you are able to share you biggest challenges, ask questions, get direct feedback and implement it right away.
I get that mentoring may not be for everyone, but it might be just what you need if you've ever found yourself thinking or saying things like…
I don’t have the time to read through help docs or watch videos to learn all of the basics and I want to start implementing a solution ASAP.
I have a good grasp of some parts of the app, but there are specific things that I need guidance on.
I need help understanding how to properly structure and connect the different components of my system.
I'm unsure of how to integrate this app with my existing tools effectively.
I want to feel more confident within my system.
Here’s what we can cover in these sessions:
Any and as much of your questions as time permits
The basics: understanding core components
Workflow design and development: steps 1-5 of the workflow cycle
Best practices: effective structuring where necessary, workspace customization and personalization and leveraging the fastest ways to navigate your workspace
Session format
I’ve seen that the 1:1 mentoring format is one of the best ways to fill the pertinent gaps in your knowledge, allowing you to get to your end goal faster: a refined and succinct workflow.
Each session is led by you — your questions and what you need help working through.
Live workspace building — we build the scaffolding required for you to begin refining your workflow together in real time.
My role is to answer your questions based on my expertise in Tana and with digital tools in general, providing context that is specific to how you work and your use case.
